PE-484/9 was a fully transistorised portable
radio direction finder (RDF),
introduced in 1989 by Telefunken in Ulm (Germany)
as the successor to the earlier PE-484 thru PE-484/5 models.
The device covers frequencies between 150 kHz and 30 MHz, and has a digital
readout. It is suitable for the reception of
CW (A1A), AM (A3E), FM (F3E) and LSB/USB (R3E, H3E, J3E)
