Mobile encryption unit - this page is a stub

BID/860, codenamed SNIPER, is a mobile/maritime message encryption device for DIMPS, developed around xxxx in the UK. It was used in armoured vehicles, but was also used for ship-ship and ship-shore communication. The device was declared obsolete in 2014 [2].
