6AQ5 is an American valve (tube) that was originally intended for application
as a 12W audio frequency (AF) amplifier and later also in the vertical
deflection of a television set. In some spy radio sets however, it is used
in the oscillator and/or PA stage, either as a single valve or in
push-pull configuration. In practice it can be used for frequencies up to
16 MHz or more.
