Ostwin Fritz Menzer (6 April 1908 - 25 October 2005) was a German cryptologist, who worked before and during World War II (WWII) for the Wehrmacht signals intelligence agency (7/VI), the cipher bureau of the German High Command (OKW/Chi) and the military intelligence service of the Wehrmacht (Abwehr). He was involved in the development and production of cryptographic devices and methods, like the SG-41, as well as the security control of their own devices [1].
