Nagra was founded by Polish-born Stéfan Kudelski (1929). After his move to Switzerland, the first recorder (Nagra I) was introduced in 1951 [3]. Over the years, Nagra developed a wide range of high-end audio and video equipment. The company still exists today, but has been split into several legal entities. Nagra produces equipment for digital television, public access systems and high-end audio. Stefan Kudelski retired in 1991 and was succeeded by his son André [4].
