ITT
International Telephone & Telegraph

ITT Aerospace is a large electronics company in Nutley 1 (New Jersey, USA). The company is part of ITT Industries Inc. Over the years, its communication division has manufactured a range of NSA-developed secure voice and data terminals for the US Department of Defense (DoD), NATO and others. ITT also made equipment for Saudi Arabia's integrated C3I Peace Shield data system.

ITT was established in 1920 as the International Telephone & Telegraph, and has a complicated history with many take-overs and spin-offs all over the world [1]. In 1995, the company was split into three separate public companies: ITT Corp., ITT Hartford and ITT Industries. The latter was responsible for the defense business and changed its name to ITT Corporation in 2006. In 2011, the defense business was spun-off as Exellis, after which it was acquired by Harris in 2015 [1].

  1. Later: Fort Wayne (Indiana, USA).
