The drawing below illustrated how the film can be sandwiched between two
transparent plexiglass panels. Drill holes in the plexiglass panels at
the positions indicated on the lamp film, and use spacers to mount the
complete sandwich just above the LEDs.
If you don't have a suitable lamp film,
download it below and
use a laser printer to print it on a sheet of polyester paper.
This paper type is semi-transparent and diffuses the light somewhat,
which improves the readability.
Enigma-E kits from serial number 60 onwards are supplied
with a suitable lamp film that is printed on diffuse polyester paper.
Use it as described above.
