Top Secret Ultra - this page is a stub

Ultra — or Top Secret Ultra — was the designation used from 1941 onwards by British military intelligence for signals intelligence derived from breaking high-level encrypted enemy radio and teleprinter communications at the Government Code & Cipher School (GC&CS) (later: GCHQ) at Bletchley Park (BP). The work included the handling of traffic originated on the Enigma cipher machine, but also T-52 Geheim­schreiber (STURGEON), Lorenz SZ-40/42 (TUNNY) and others.
