UK Phone Voice Scrambler No. 6B → ← No. 6
Telephone scrambler · 1940
- this page is a stub
This improved version was introduced in August 1940 for use on
CB/Auto
or LB installations. It was suitable for the
200-250V AC mains only and had an isolated power transformer,
which made it much safer for maintenance engineers.
Like the No. 6 it is built around CV1732 valves.
|
There were several other design improvements, but a detailed
description of them is currently unavailable. Like the No. 6,
the 6A is housed in a wooden enclosure.
At present, no image of this version is available.
