Below is an overview of the Slidex cards that were used in Norway from 1852
onwards. According to the original instruction booklet, Slidex was introduced
in Norway in 1952, updated in 1953 and updated again in March 1961. Although
most of the original cards are not dated, we assume that they were printed
around 1957. Click any of the card below to view it in full resolution.
All cards are printed single-sided. Blank cards – with a larger grid –

Blank cards were supplied for hand-written messages and codewords.
These cards were available in several colours – including white, yellow
and red – and had a grid with larger cells. The cards are slightly
smaller that the printed Slidex cards, with each cell of a blank card
corresponding to four cells (2 x 2) of a printed card.
Below are some examples of blank cards.
